Live life your way.
Intergen Living matches people with a spare room and time on their hands, so a home becomes company, a helping hand, and anywhere from 10 hours of work a week.
A bespoke homeshare service, run by people who know care.
Intergen Living connects people with a spare room to a student or companion who needs more affordable living. In return, they give ten hours a week of household help and, just as importantly, company.
It's built for householders who are disabled and/or over 50 and would value some help around the house — but who tell us just as often that what they're really missing is someone to talk to. Many have a spare room and space in their lives, but feel lonely or isolated at home.
We're a bespoke, closely matched service with limited direct competition. Our director works in the care industry, and every companion is chosen for being genuinely comfortable and empathetic around age and disability — this isn't a generic lodger site.
Reciprocity — everyone brings something, everyone takes something home.

Householders
People aged 50+ or living with a disability who have a spare room and would value regular help and company at home — access to the community at minimal cost, with the safety of a vetted, monitored match. It's a way to stay independent at home rather than move into care.
Companions
Students and others who need lower-cost living and are happy to give ten hours a week to household tasks and companionship. A genuine welcome is part of the deal, whoever you are — our companions and householders come from every background.

We don't publish a price list — every match is different, so pricing is confirmed after a short call. Get in touch and we'll talk it through.
Every match is vetted, monitored, and reviewed.
This isn't a listings site. Our management team is involved from the first conversation to regular reviews once you're settled.
- Companions are vetted before they're introduced to any household.
- Our management team monitors each match and checks in periodically.
- Reviews are built around the householder's changing needs, not fixed to a one-off sign-up.
- Led by a director with a background in the care industry.
"A bespoke service where the person matching you actually understands care."

Questions before you get in touch.
We match people with a spare room to a companion who provides ten hours a week of household help and company in return for affordable living.
Householders are typically 50+ or living with a disability, based in or around Bristol, Bath and South Somerset. Companions are usually students or others looking for lower-cost living who are happy to help.
If you have a spare room and would value some company and practical help at home, it's worth a conversation. Homesharing suits people who want to stay independent in their own home rather than move into care, and who like the idea of a friendly face around rather than living alone. We talk it through with you first, so you can decide if it feels right before anything is arranged.
Our companions come from all backgrounds and are chosen for being genuinely comfortable and empathetic around age and disability — this isn't a generic lodger arrangement. Many are students or others looking for more affordable living locally. Every companion is vetted by our management team before any introduction is made.
Our management team gets to know your household, needs and preferences, then introduces you to a companion we think could be a good fit. You'll meet before anything is confirmed, and the match only goes ahead if both sides are happy. Once in place, we check in periodically to make sure it's still working well.
There's no fixed term — it depends on what suits you and your companion, and can range from a few months to considerably longer. We review each match periodically and talk through timing with both sides, so there are no surprises.
Most commonly because a companion's circumstances change — finishing their studies or moving on, for example — rather than anything going wrong. A match can also end if it isn't working for either side; our management team stays involved throughout and will help arrange a new match if needed.
Every companion is checked and approved by our management team before any introduction, and matches are reviewed periodically once in place.
We don't publish fixed prices — pricing depends on the match and is confirmed after a short call with our team.
